Bolt making IV
Today I took the bronze rod measured for the other custom bolts needed today into the machine shop at work and cut some threads into them... man, that ~$2.00 1/4-20 dye I bought has already paid for itself many times over! And the new hacksaw (see last post) sure cut through the bronze like butter, what a difference a good tool and a new blade makes!
So, I just put the cut rod into the vice (after cleaning up and slightly beveling the hacksawed ends on the bench grinder) and cut in the threads. This time I took pictures so I'd have something to show for it.
